 Hi there! I have really enjoyed adding dimension to cards different ways, and today I thought I would try the technique of a pop up panel. I love the simplicity of this card, but the clear window really adds an extra special element to the card. I learned of this technique from Jennifer McGuire.  You can learn a few different ways of creating a pop up card  (HERE) For this card, I used the stamp from Unity called - Oh Come Let Us Adore Him.   For watercoloring, I stamped onto multi-media paper with Ranger Sepia permanent ink.  To paint this scene, I used Delightful Dijon as a medium yellow shade for the hay, Tip Top Taupe as a light wash over the manger, and Early Espresso for the hair and shadows.  The blanket I used a Soft Seafoam Marker to create shadows.  For the skin tone, I used a Blushing Bride Marker and picked color up with a paint brush.  Greetings!  Today’s card was fun to create.  This week’s theme from the Inspired by challenge used grey, black and orange, and candy as the theme.  For my card, I cut 3  labels from Unity’s - Hide and Eek ephemera set, and mounted them into a piece of printed paper from Unity’s - Spooky Days Paper Pack. I used the bats and candy from an older Hello Bluebird set called - Halloween Fun.  The images were stamped in Versafine Onyx black ink and colored with markers.  Wink of Stella was added to the eyes of the bats and the candy for sugary sparkle. The center panel was added to a card base that was left over from a previous card.  I had used the  inked the Timeworn Type embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot.   Thanks for stopping by! - Valerie Kaye

 Hi there! This week I saw the cutest note card posted on IG.  @kellymakescards posted artist trading cards, or ATC’s.  When I read more about this Instagram Hop, I loved the idea that these are mini in size.  A finished card is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.  The only other requirement is to use scraps and left overs to make them.   The first card has two small trees framed with a few small gold stars. The grey card stock was sitting right beside the paper trimmer.  I embossed the scrap with the (SU) Merry Melody embossing folder. The small gold frame was added from Unbounded Love die set - (SU) - . A negative piece of Designer Vellum (SU) was used to fill the opening to create a window.  Glue was added to the back under the snow, to hide the adhesive.  The fa, la, la was a left over from - Concord and 9th’s Winter Wonderland set.  Hi there! Today’s card was inspired from this week’s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  To join in on the fun, click the link ( HERE) I went down the rabbit hole making this card today, 😆 but it was fun to make!  Here’s the sketch that inspired my card:  I was looking through my supplies, and came across a Dracula die my mother gave to me.  I decided to give this guy a try.  I started with a basic white sheet of scrap card stock, and then paper pieced the other colors.  I added a left over bow from another project as his bow tie, and acrylic paint for the eyes and teeth.  For the scene, I used Orchid Oasis - cardstock (SU).  I used a left over piece of trim with a leaf print to frame the border.   A 2 1/2” circle punch was used to punch a moon from pearlescent white cardstock (Recollections- Michael’s). A scrap of orange cardstock was adhered inside the frame, the moon was placed over the top.  The branch was cut from one of my bra...

 Hello, Today’s card is inspired from the new sketch at Atlantic Hearts this week.  Play along,  (HERE) and here’s the sketch: I initially was looking at a string of lights stamp set and was stuck on what to use for the scalloped center. The more I kept looking at the sketch, the more I was seeing Santa and a roof top.  I wanted to make a night scene, for my card so I used a piece of Orchid Oasis (SU) as the base and pierced with the Concord and 9th - Snowfall Cardfront, then cut with an arched die. Next, I cut the Santa and the reindeer from Basic Black card-stock and slightly off set with silver card-stock to look like a highlight from the moon. A red gem was added to Rudolph’s nose. 💕 The Roof was cut from shades of  Grey, Black and silver cardstock.  The snow was created from layering pearl cardstock, with vellum flocked with snow over the top.
