You are Amazing - Guest Designer!

Hello!  I was very excited and honored to guest design for AAA’s Challenge #313. Thank you, again for the opportunity! 😬 To play along, click the link  (HERE) For my card, I Chose the Paintbrush stamp from Unity’s - April 2022 - Kit of the Month (True Colors). I stamped in Versafine Onyx black ink, and used re-inkers to watercolor the flowers. A black half round bead was added to each center to add to the focal point.  The paintbrush was fussy-cut and popped up into the colored card stock strips using mini foam dots.  Shades of paper stock used Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Groovy Guava, Strawberry Slush,  and Basic Black(SU)  The sentiment was stamped directly onto the card panel in Versafine Onyx black ink.   The finished card is a side folding A2 size, made from Hammermill White #110  cardstock. I’m excited to see all the great creations!  Have a great week! - Valerie Kaye

I stamped in Real Red Ink - (SU), and then used the dies to add felt details. Thanks for stopping by! - Valerie Kaye

You’re A Good Egg

Hello! I finished up this fun card today inspired by the great challenges at AAA blogspot  and Inkspirational Blog Challenge.  I thought this would make a fun encouragement card, an Easter card, or even a funny Mother’s Day card.   To play along click the link here: AAA  (Challenge #311) Inkspirational Challenge (Challenge #364) The theme is “E” -  I pulled out an oldie but a goodie, and chose “E” for egg. Card Details:  My card is a side folding A2 sized card.   (Hammermill White 110#) I used The Hey Chick stamp set from Stampin Up Sale A Bration. I had to play a little with colors and positioning.  I initially colored mother hen, but decided it would take away from the egg, so I decided to just stamp in Onyx Black Versafine ink on white cardstock.  The egg I stamped once on white cardstock and also on a piece of dotted paper.  I added just a little extra color to the polka dots with a marker.   The tiny hen house was cut from kraf...

Oh Sheep! - AAA Challenges #309

Hello!  Today’s card is inspired from the 1 + 1 challenge at AAA Clean and Simple Card Challenge #308. The hat and balloon dies were from Spellbinders - Birthday Bliss die set.  I used colorful scraps added a gem for the pom-pom. Thanks for stopping by! - Valerie Kaye

AAA - Challenges #308

Hello!  Today’s card is inspired from the sketch from AAA - Challenges, #308.  To play along, click the link  (HERE) This is an A1 - sized card, measuring   (4 7/8 x 7 inches - score at 3 1/2), made from Recollections Craft cardstock. I stamped the Hero Arts Poppy stamp (CM503) in Versa Fine Onyx Black Ink, on Strathmore mixed media paper. Using an aqua pen, I dabbed the brush directly into the Poppy Parade Ink (SU).  The leaves were painted with Gumball Green ink (SU).   The flowers were die cut, and adhered to the front panel of the card.  The sentiment was heat embossed into a piece of Tim Holtz ideology black metallic cardstock.  I loved the pop of gloss from the cardstock.  The circle die is from (SSS) - Artful Palette set.   Have a great week! Sailboat Birthday Wishes

Good Morning! Today’s card is a clean style, inspired from the AAA Color Challenge, #307.  To play along, please click the link  (HERE) https://aaacards.blogspot.com/2026/02/aaa-card-challenge-307-color-challenge.html These serene colors made me think of beaches and sailboats, so I used a few dies to cut the blues and greens onto an A2 sized card base.  The rounded corner dies have been in my collection for awhile. You could easily adapt this shape by using square punches or dies and use a corner punch to round the corners.     Here is a similar version available  (HERE) I cut the sailboat from a piece of chipboard with a second layer in white cardstock for a little dimension.  The dies are from Memory Box called Marina Sailboats #94575. The sail and the star were added from My Favorite Things - 439 Sailboat. I liked the rounded font of A-Muse Stamps sampler 3, so using a stamp platform, I stamped in Marina Mist Ink (SU) (SHOP HERE) Papers Used: ...

AAA# 306 Follow the Leader

Hello!  Today’s card is prompted by the challenge to follow the leader.   If you like you play along, please follow the link here:  (AAA #306) This is the Leader’s card, by Francesca Assembly: So to follow Francesca’s card, I looked for two images that were similar in size in shape, and something a little different in the middle.   My Mom gave me this Penny Black stamp set called “Let’s Party” (Transparent) I used a star stencil to apply the background pattern.  I stamped all three images at once using a stamp platform in Early Espresso Brown Ink - (SU).   The bodies were watercolored and fine details were added with fine tip markers, and fussy cut.   The sentiment from Stampin Up’s “It’s Your Day,” was positioned and stamped in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Thanks for stopping by! - Valerie Kaye

AAA Cards Challenge #305

Hello! I just finished up a card for a fun challenge at AAA Cards blogspot ( AAA Cards Callenge #305 ) The theme for this challenge is to make a Clean and Simple card using white on white.   What is challenging, is making a card that is white without being overly busy.  I wanted texture and needed a focal point, so I started looking through some of my dies to see what might work.  The photo doesn’t show the glitter very well, so here is a quick video to get a better look: I decided on an older stamp set from Stampin Up called Smitten Mitten.   I also used a My Favorite Things die - called Square Peek a Boo Window Die.   I liked how a single mitten was framed inside.   Card Base: To make this card, I cut my card panel into a side folding card measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.  I cut a piece of white pearlescent paper (Recollections- Michael’s).   Using washi tape, I laid the pearlescent paper on top of the card panel, and added a couple pi...
