Greetings!   Today’s card is inspired from sketch #742 at Freshly Made Sketches. Join in on the fun,  (HERE) For this sketch, I used the cute elephant and chimpanzee duo from Purple Onion Designs.  The stamp set is called Feeling Blue.  I stamped onto a piece of multi colored plaid scrapbook paper using Versa Mark Onyx Black Ink, and fussy cut.   The chimp was colored with a lavender marker for contrast. I used a scrap piece of Orchid Oasis (SU) cardstock as the strip that the elephant is resting on.  I love how the ear appears to flop over!  To follow the sketch, I mounted the elephant and chimp onto an off set heart from Alex Siberia dies. Instead of flowers coming off the center focal point, I used a smaller heart to anchor the sentiment “Hugs.” Ps, this elephant reminds me of “Elmer,” the patchwork elephant! ❤️ Thanks for stopping by! - Valerie Kaye

 Greetings!    It's January!  I can hardly believe it.  Christmas came and went so fast, I hardly know what happened.  Usually after Christmas I begin the cleaning/organizing and preparing for the coming year.  I try to make the goals of what I'd like to accomplish for the year.   One of my goals this year, is to try to make a card a day.  If my time is short, I'll concentrate on pulling out a card that was previously started or a Clean and Simple design.   My second goal is to keep up on family birthdays.  To keep this goal, I printed out a great Birthday Calendar from the Lettering Tree's Blog.
