CAS on Friday #325 - Snowman

Hi there! Happy Friday! We made it!  lol.  Today I made a bright and cheery snowman for CAS on Friday’s “Snowman” challenge.  You can follow the link to play along  (HERE) I was initially thinking of doing a loose watercolor, but then changed my mind and dug through some scraps.  I thought these stripes would be great on the scarf.   Assembly: This is an A2 side folding card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 in.) I cut a cut a panel of multi media paper to 4 x 5 1/4 inches.   Using a stamp platform, I positioned Unity’s Sending Christmas Smiles Stamp (SHOP HERE)   on the striped paper, then with detail scissors cut out.   I followed the same process with the gray hat, and orange carrot.   Two half round beads were added as buttons, and the card panel was mounted onto Orchid Oasis (SU) card stock.   This stamp definitely will bring smiles!  Thanks for stopping by! - Valerie Kaye

"We're Toast" - Unity Stamps

Greetings!  The week is winding down, and I finished up the last two cards before the weekend approaches.  I have had this hillarious Unity toast stamp, but was trying to figure out how to design a card.   Thanks to my Dad's 75th birthday approaching soon, I grabbed this stamp and made both a thank you and a birthday card!   The first card pictured is a fun thank you card.   I began by stamping a mask, and stamping an image on white cardstock.  The image was colored, and fussy cut.  I added a small dot of tape runner to the back of the masked toaster so I could place the image temporarily while I stenciled in the colored dots.  I then popped up the toaster with foam, and added die cut steam from a Spellbinders die set.  The word bubbles were swapped out for "thank you" and the inside reads "I can count on you when I'm in a tight spot." Second up, is the birthday card.  This card is designed for the male in mind so th...

C.R.A.F.T Challenge #741 Christmas

Valerie Kaye Hello! I just finished up this little digital dog stamp from All Dressed Up on Etsy.  There is lots of cute stuff.  I highly encourage your to check them out.  The them for this week's C.R.A.F.T challenge is Christmas.  To join in on the fun, go to their blog here:  C.R.A.F.T Challenge   I do not have a ton of dog stamps, and this little guy with the scarf and sled reminded me of my dog, Vinnie.   It has been awhile since I have worked with digital images and stamps, but I remembered a shortcut.  Save your digital stamp to a file.   Go to Avery.com labels.   Select which ever template you like.   There are many square labels and notecards available to choose from.  Upload your image, and the template will automatically size to the label.  (Easy peasy!) I also had the best luck printing 80lb. cardstock.  Anything heavier, and my printer eats it. I found a great piece of plaid pa...
