Gertie and Gus- SSC335

 Hello,

Today’s card is part of  Sunday’s Sketch Challenge!  SSC-335

It took a few days to percolate on ideas for this week’s sketch, and started thinking of an uphill road.

This little car from Taylored Expressions Gertie and Gus (Ride On) has the duo traveling together.

I began by building the card mat.  I used a DSP sheet from Stampin Up’s It’s My Party 12 x 12 paper pad.

I cut a piece of SU Badic black 4 x 5 1/4.  The designer sheet was cut 1/8th smaller.  For the triangles, I started with 1 - 3 x 3 square, and Cut it into fourths.

I stamped onto watercolor paper, and began to roughly watercolor.  After drying, colored pencil was added to intensify and depth.

Enamel dots were added to the corner of the card and headlight.  Stickles were added to the hub caps.

The sentiment came from Concord and 9th’s Top it off, and Simon Says Stamp- Simon’s Big Birthday.

Thanks for stopping by!

Valerie Kaye
