Seashells- TCC#218
Hi there!
Today I’m sharing a Shabby Chic and Vintage card inspired from The Card Concept’s Mood Board. TCC#218
The first things that I zeroed in on were the wood grain boards on the shelf, the dominant moody blue color, and the speckled finish on the pottery.
I started with grabbing a sheet of a wood grain scrapbook paper, and lined up the design as close as possible to a wood grain embossing folder. (Altenew-Deck Plank 3D)
Next, I had two small papers from a Unity kit (I believe) that were gifted to me. I tore a rough edge and wrapped the over hang to the back to glue in place.
I chose a few elements from Stampin Up’s Friends are like seashells set. I stamped onto Strathmore Mixed Media paper and blended colors with an aqua pen. (Stampin up-Tip Top Taupe, Night of Navy) (Amuse-Eucalyptus pigment ink ❤️)
I roughly cut around some of the stamping and partially die cut the large shell. I took the die cut, and placed it inside the coordinating embossing folder.
A small piece of twine was woven through the plants for a little extra texture.
A simple, “For You” was stamped in (SU-Night of Navy) (SU- Friends are like Seashells ) sentiment was die cut from Stampin Up-Unbounded Love coordinating die.
I really liked the small sentiment and how the die cut fit nicely into the open space of the seashell. I thought this more general sentiment could be used for a variety of occasions as well.
Thanks for stopping by!
