Freshly Made Sketches #705
Good Morning,
Today’s card is inspired by the new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches #705. When I saw this sketch I was instantly in the mood to make something with leaves and fall colors!
I started with making a top folding card base in kraft cardstock (Recollections). Next I cut a kraft panel, and embossed with Stampin Up’s Timeworn Type embossing folder.
I swiped across the embossed piece with Ink 3-Juicy clear ink, then heat embossed with copper embossing powder.
The strips came from Stampin Up’s All About Autumn 6 x 6 paper pack. Beautiful papers. Foiled and gorgeous photographic fall scenes!
I trimmed three coordinating strips down and framed with mirrored gold card-stock (Recollections).
I cut three leaves from mirrored gold cardstock and staggered them along the strips.
The sentiment from Stampin Up’s Hope You Know set was stamped in Pretty Peacock Ink (My favorite color!) and center ed below the strips.
I have a notion to make a couple more cards using this sketch. because this design would also be great for a masculine card or sympathy card as well.
Thanks for stopping by! Valerie Kaye
And such lovely glowing leaves!🍂 😍
