Just Us Girls Challenge #792
Hi There!
Today’s card is inspired by Just Us Girls with the theme this week using a container. JUG #792.
I was able to play with the Hero Arts Retro Kitchen Classic Casserole die set! I only used two, but there are many to choose from.
I began with looking for a sheet of paper that looked like retro wall paper. Unity’s Wall Paper and Warmth 6 x 6 paper pad was perfect! I loved this light green paper with the tiny lemons on it.
I used a scrap of SU-Old Olive cardstock and cut the two casserole outside pieces, then a light shade of pink for the inside.
To make the shelf, I used the SSS- strip die set and embossed with a wood grain embossing folder. Then distressed with Chocolate Chip ink and a sponge.
I wanted something with the dishes, and made a buffet mirror from Paper Trey Ink’s Love to Layer Soft Ridges Dies. I cut one in kraft, and one in silver. Then followed the oval shape with detail scissors to make the mirror.
The spoons were included with the Hero Arts set. They were cut from silver cardstock, and attached with a small heart butterfly fastener. I used a small leather earring piercing tool to punch a tiny hole for the butterfly fastener.
I am a little undecided on a sentiment, because these casserole dishes are so versatile. My first thought was Mother’s Day, but Anniversary, new home, or wedding would work also.
Thanks for stopping by! -Valerie Kaye
I knew that you made a buffet as soon as I saw this cute card! Very creative! I love all the companies' Pyrex bowl die sets and yours looks great. Thanks for playing along with us at Just Us Girls!
