Just Add Ink#762
Greetings!
The weekend is coming to a close and we had a great dinner Sunday night at our favorite Italian restaurant. I’m still stuffed, but the bruschetta was heavenly!
Before we dressed up for dinner, I sat with my hair in a towel to dry a little and made a card while I waited. 😬 I saw a great inspiration board at Just Add Ink Challenge #763, and loved the plaid and coffee cup.
I used those elements as the ideas for my card. This card is a side folding card measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. I really wanted a cozy, winter feel, so I found paper that had small flecks of brown and grey in it.
The die set is from Spellbinders-for July called Warm Cocoa Wishes. I love the versatility of this set because you can make the clothing look feminine or masculine. You can make black coffee with cardstock or cocoa, depending on the colors you choose.
I chose Christmas plaid clothing, red mittens, and a green sentiment for a Masculine Christmas card. This person loves his coffee so this will be perfect!
The was die cut and glued together. To create more dimension, I glued 3-mittens together. The coffee was embellished with a snowflake from the set, and a small rhinestone.
The set includes a die cut sentiment, but I chose a scripted sentiment instead.
